The Omaweian Style :

The islamic art was established in Beni Omaiya`s age,The Omaweian style - which is related to them - was the first styles or schools in the islamic art due to the nature of life and circumstances surrounded the age of the prophet ( May peace be upon him ) and of the orthodox caliphs did not prepare the islamic community in which art could flourish among them and to be characterized with their feature, so when the Arab conquests come and the islamic state extended and the Arabs mingled with nations of flourished civilization , they were affected by these nations as well as being affected by them .

Beni Omaya took Damascus city a capital of the islamic world, the artistic domination in their age was for the ( Bezentians), the Syrians and other men of industry and art imitated by the Arabs ( the conquers) . And on the shoulders of all , the Omaweian style in the islamic art was established .

Thus , it is a transition style from the Christian arts in the near east to the Abassian style , yet this style was in some way affected with the sasani artistic styles that were flourished in the near east when Islam appeared .

Thus the Ceramic elements for this style were a mix of total elements inherited from the arts preceded it , as accuracy appears in drawing the plant and animal garniture, and the attempt of presenting nature and other elements - by which the Bezentian arts  characterized- we find the effect of the sasani art in the engineer circled shapes and some other decorative styles as drawing the two meeting animals or these backing each other separated by the holy life's tree or immortality tree
