Look for any new words in the dictionary at the back of the reader. 2. Think about the 6 Q's on P/8, write the answers on this page. • S read the 6 Q's again bout no one shout the answers. (All S must practice reading by themselves) • S turn to the dictionary at the back, say: you are going to look in this dic for the new words they underlined in the last lesson. • Turn P/9 look at the 1st para, say: in line #2, you probably underline the word 'injure', turn to the dic and look for that word. Ask: What letter does the word begin with? (letter I), say: find this letter then find the word. • Say: you have 15m, read the passage silently to answer the Q's and find the new words in the dic. • After 15m I'll stop the S, say: you can look up the rest of the words at home. • Turn to P/8, elicit in English what the 4 steps are. • Ask: Who can read the 1st Q, a S read the answer, ask: Where can you find the answer? Which line show you the answer to this Q? L: 9-10, S read the answer • Repeat the previous step for the other 5 Q's. 1.
